Description

I did this piece all in Photoshop, drawing and all. It's based on a D&D character and I had fun designing the character.

I just did an update where I fixed a few anatomy issues and smoothed out the texture on a few more areas.

Very nice indeed! First of all, I'm impressed with the naturalness of the pose, and the rendering of her costume is spot-on. Overall the hair looks great and I like her expression. The gray in the background sets off the figure nicely, and the overall grey-tone rendering works. These 3/4 back poses are hard to get right and, overall, you've nailed it.

Now, as far as critiques, here are a few things I noticed. The first and perhaps most important issue here is that she's not "grounded" in the picture. In other words, the left foot is higher than the right - but the left buttock of the figure is lower that the right. I think you were probably trying to utilize perspective on the left leg, but in this instance it makes her look off-balance. Also, I'm not sure the perspective is quite right on the blade in her left hand.

My only other issue is with her back itself. You've done a great job here, but the lines of her shoulder blades and muscles don't seem to line up. Backs are a bear to draw and get right, and you're 90% there.

Overall, a great sketch and I think it's wonderful!
